This page contains information about how cookies are used on the CodeTRAX and also pointers to instructions about how to disable cookies on various popular web browsers.

What are cookies?

A cookie is a small piece of data that a web site asks your browser to store on your computer or mobile device. The cookie allows the website to "remember" your actions or preferences over time.

Most browsers support cookies, but users can set their browsers to decline them and can delete them whenever they like.

Cookies set by our web site

The web application that powers CodeTRAX may store a session cookie for non-authenticated users. This cookie contains information about your preferences while requesting data.

Session cookies are also used for authenticated users. In this case the session cookies also contain encrypted login information so that the authenticated users can access the various levels of the projects.

Please, read more about <a href="http://www.allaboutcookies.org/cookies/session-cookies-used-for.html">session cookies</a>.

Third party cookies

On CodeTRAX we use some external services in order to collect and process statistical information about the web traffic we receive and also display advertisements throughout the web site.

Google Analytics

We use Google Analytics to collect information about web traffic and visitor behavior on our web site. Google Analytics stores information about what pages you visit, how much time you spend on each page, how you got there and what you click on. This data cannot be used to personally identify you. Therefore your personal information, such as your name, are not collected.

We may turn on Google Analytics Demographics and Interest Reporting to get an idea of our demographics and user interests.

Please read more technical details about how Google Analytics uses cookies to measure user-interactions on websites.

Opting-out from Google Analytics as a visitor is possible by installing and activating a web browser extension provided by Google itself. Please read more details about the functionality of this add-on.

Moreover, in order to prevent any Google Analytics cookies from being stored on your web browser you can deactivate the storage of third party cookies in the web browser settings.

Google Adsense

All web pages at the CodeTRAX may carry advertising. We use third-party advertising services, such as Google Adsense, to serve ads when you visit our web site. These services may use information (non-personally identifiable aggregated user data) about your visits to this and other web sites in order to provide personalized advertisements about goods and services of interest to you.

More specifically, Google Adsense advertisements use the DoubleClick cookie in order to display personalized advertisements. Please read more information about the DoubleClick cookies.

In order to opt-out from personalized advertisements, please visit the Ad Preferences page or download the advertising cookie opt-out extension for the most popular web browsers offered by Google.

Moreover, in order to prevent any DoubleClick cookies from being stored on your web browser you can deactivate the storage of third party cookies in the web browser settings.

Finally, please read more information about third-party vendors' use of cookies for interest based advertising and about ways to opt out at Aboutads.info.

Cookie management in popular web browsers

It is possible to customize the way web browsers store cookies for both the web sites you visit (first party cookies) and the external services these web sites may be using (third party cookies) from the web browser's settings panel. Please read the web browser's documentation for more information about how to turn on and off the storage of third party cookies.
